Story of the movie
The story of the film is based on the period drama. Rusi Billimoria is a Producer and a former action star who is a friend, lover and patron of Julia. Julia is exuberant, cynical and keeps repeating the words, “bloody hell”. She is inspired from Fearless Nadia. Rangoon movie review
Julia gets trapped with Jamadar Nawab Malik in the jungles of Arunachal Pradesh. Jamadar Nawab Malik is a prisoner of war who serves in Queen’s Army. The story of the movie has many loopholes it seems like director wanted to put in every emotion in it but lacks somewhere. Rangoon movie review
Performance of Stars
Saif Ali Khan– He plays the role of Captain Rusi Billimoria. No doubt that he is one of the finest actors with commendable acting skills. And, he has done his role of mentor and producer quite well. The experienced actor holds the good command over the wild story. Rangoon movie review
Shahid Kapoor– He plays the role of Jamadar Nawab Malik who is serving in British Army despite of being from India, as he is a war prisoner there. He is loved for his role by the audience. The performance given by Shahid is good. Rangoon movie review
Kangana Ranaut– She plays the role of Miss Julia who rules Bombay Cinema. The grip of the movie is held completely by her. Despite of having several loop holes in movie and direction, she did full justice to her role. She not only did the role nicely but also broke the stereotypes by doing action scenes. We admire Kangana for putting up such a nice play. Rangoon movie review
Music of Movie
The music of the movie is given by the music director Vishal Bhardwaj. The movie has many songs as it is a period drama film based on the times of 1940s. It has 12 songs in total. The music of the movie is quite loved by the audience. Tracks like ‘Yeh Ishq Hai’, ‘Alvida’ and ‘tippa’ are doing quite well. Rangoon movie review
Direction of the Movie
The story line of the movie lacks a lot even the good actors couldn’t hide the loopholes in the story. It seems director wanted to display a blend of emotions of lobe, deceit and war but he lacks somewhere in doing so. The screenplay is jointly written and is quite fine. Rangoon movie review
